6 Things to do while you are struck at Home due to Quarantine




Its been a while since we all are struck at home and even after doing all the Social Media and challenges we are still left with quite a lot of spare time to spend, so instead of binge watching Netflix or any Web Series let's work on ourselves and get the best of us out of of this Quarantine. Here are 6 Things you could do to spend your time and at the same time enhance you lifestyle:

1. Complete pending tasks

That YouTube channel you always wanted to start, that unfinished drawing you started in High school, that Coding challenge you were too excitedly signed up for, or your cooking interest or anything you wanted to do, but were unable to do it due to the workload from your institution or your company. This is the best time to do all of that because there are no distractions or assignments to work on forcefully. Now you are actually the master of your time, so dedicate a time slot in your day to pursue those hobbies and passion and let your dream come alive.
 

2. Learn new skill

Ever wondered how some people are extraordinarily talented in vast range of field and interest, Be it playing a guitar, singing or repairing your neighbor's Wi-Fi , well they weren't born with those skills, they just took the first daring step of attempting to try it and later polished and practiced it until they were just better at it. It takes nothing other than your time (and of course the Equipments) to take the first step in your field of interest, there are thousands of tutorials and guides available online to guide you through the most toughest task of starting up. So find what interests you and take the first step.

3. Catch up with lost Relations

When is the last time you have spoken to your classmate from college? or your cousin who was living far away in another country? Of course, you would say that you chat with them on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp. but Dear, its a textual conversation, you don't get to hear them or feel them, to really have a good time just get up and call them, they'll be surprised to hear you in this time of crisis. Your relationship will get stronger and better. Just give it a try!

4. Make Healthy habits

Maintaining your health and taking care of yourself never hurts. so lets create a daily routine or just a habit for your health and body. It doesn't necessarily means that you have to plan a solid workout or buy Gym Equipments, it could be anything Meditating first in the morning, doing 10 Pushups daily or avoiding Fast food, just go through you day and find what unhealthy habits you have and replace them with the healthy ones.

5. Reflect

Now this is something we all should do in a regular interval of time. "Reflect" - what it means that stopping by and observing your life from another point of view, discussing the problems with yourself, thinking where life is going. Ask questions "Is that the life I wanted?" or "Does my approach to solve this problem is right?" because when we are alone our mind wanders the farthest of distances and the Subconscious of our minds finds the best solution or advice we need at the moment. It don't take much effort to sit in the peaceful balcony or lawn or even your room(unless it has things to distract you) and reflect and think about life. Slow down and rethink what has been lost and what is there left to get hold of.

6. Relax

Just sit back and relax, not that relaxing means sit on a couch and start watching Netflix(or just any digital stuff - playing games etc.) grab a book and read it, got a family, play with them (be it board games but just non digital), revisit your past experiences, share them, got a funny memory from childhood, express it. The point is to spend a quality time and give your brain a break from all screens and stuff.
